On May 7
2021, the event " Electronic devices at the end of life: innovations
for the ecological transition " was held within the" Innovation
Village 2021 "event, organized as part of the InnoWEEE project to present
the results of the project and give life to a round table in which prominent
personalities of the WEEE supply chain, local authorities, trade associations
and the world of education have been discussing the development and application
of new WEEE recovery models, to reduce waste in production, make waste
collection more effective and efficient and promote the enhancement of
end-of-life products in the complex post-Covid-19 reality.
The round
table, moderated by the journalist Marina Kovari, took place providing
information on the WEEE value chain, thanks to the interventions of Bruno
Rebolini, president of the RAEE CDC and Antonella Castellano of Erion Sistema,
representing the needs of the territory and local authorities, through the
voice of Andrea Minutolo of Legambiente and the Mayor of Cava de 'Tirreni,
representative of ANCI, and outlining the contribution of the InnoWEEE project
in the development of a series of demonstration actions in Italian and foreign
pilot territories, thanks to the contribution of Marco Tammaro by ENEA, by Elisabetta
Farella by FBK and by Piergiorgio Cipriano by Dedagroup Public Services.
All the
presentations provided starting points for an interesting final discussion
among the participants, connected in large numbers in live streaming to the
event.
